The Uniting Church is an amalgamation of parts of the Methodist, Presbyterian and Congressional Churches into one entity, first formed in 1977. Divided into Synods between states and territories, Kew is represented by a church located in Highbury Grove, while East Kew has one along Normanby Road. The Victorian synod was formed by Reverend Dr. McMaster, who was assigned to the Highbury Grove site before the amalgamation. Nowadays, the Church is actively involved in the local community. The file includes: Correspondence between the Kew Historical Society and Reverend Dr. McMaster, and two editions of 'Crosslight’, the Church's newsletter.
