McPherson Robertson was an Australian chocolate entrepreneur, known for his confectionary company MacRobertson’s. He was an early pioneer of chewing gum and cotton candy brought over from the United States and would use his earned money funding multiple different companies, competitions and schools. His significance in Kew is his house he had built at 51 Sackville Street, where he lived for the last nine years of his life.
