Vance & Nettie Palmer were both prolific Australian-born writers who were well known for making Australian literature prestigious in the eyes of those who didn’t see its value. Both known left-wing socialists, they moved between countries such as China, Russia, and the United Kingdom, always returning to Kew. The file includes: A history of the two and their family, photos of their ‘Ardmore’ residence, and documents and photos related to the unveiling of their plaque at the Kew Library.
