These photographs were taken by The Advocate in 1992, documenting local residents’ complaints about the overgrown conditions of the nearby vacant paddocks adjacent to the Western Hospital, Furlong Road, St. Albans.

Significance

The photograph, with the hospital visible in the background, offers an early glimpse of the facility before the extensions and modifications carried out to it over the past 30 years.
