Historical information
These photographs, taken by The Advocate in 1991, depict artists Dot Tuckerman, Betty Bell, Joyce Preston and Betty Eccles preparing for a forthcoming exhibition at the Hunt Club Community & Arts Centre on Ballarat Road, Deer Park.
The four artists chose to stage the exhibition jointly, recognising that their busy lifestyles made a shared exhibition a practical and collaborative way to showcase their work. They were joined by fellow artists Ms Haggblom, Val Sampson, Theresa Kutin and Norma Marot, bringing together a diverse group of local artists for the exhibition.
They were using a private house at 27 Dulcie Street, Sunshine as their workshop.
