Thomas Argyle, a nurseryman, and his wife Beth owned the Sunshine's popular Florist Shop Argyle First, in Hampshire Road.
Beth in the 1980's & 1990's held various executive committee positions in the Sunshine Beautification Group including President, Secretary and Patron.
Significance
The Sunshine Advocate’s feature on local traders was a modest yet well‑liked column that played a meaningful role in strengthening community identity.
