Historical information

These photographs, taken by The Advocate newspaper in 2000, document one of Sunshine’s notorious accident black spots. Used heavily by both private and commercial vehicles, the site has been the scene of numerous collisions, including several fatalities.

Local residents have been campaigning to both State and Local Government for long‑overdue safety improvements to the bridge.
