Historical information

These photographs, taken by The Advocate in 2000, feature participants and displays at the Sunshine Garden Show.

The annual event celebrated the district's strong gardening tradition, showcasing flowers, plants, vegetables, floral arrangements and horticultural achievements from across the local community.

The show provided an opportunity for residents, gardening enthusiasts and community groups to exhibit their work, exchange knowledge and continue a tradition that had been part of Sunshine's social and cultural life for many decades.
