These photographs feature Geroge Karmis and Sophie Atostolopoulos from the Gear It, a surf, street & sportswear clothing shop located at Shop 78 Deer Park Shopping Centre, Neale Road, Deer Park.

At the time the photographs were taken, the business had only recently opened. The store was established by proprietors Con and Victoria Karmis, who introduced Gear It to the centre’s growing mix of specialty retailers, catering to the popularity of surf-inspired and casual fashion during the early 1990s.
