Historical information

These photographs, taken by The Advocate in 1999, feature members of the Sunshine RSL Bowling Club standing in front of the sign for the new second bowling green at the club.

The second green was named after Frank Smith, former President, Treasurer & Life Member of the Sunshine RSL Memorial Bowling Club Associates.

Significance

The naming of the second bowling green after Frank Smith recognised his many years of service to the Sunshine RSL Memorial Bowling Club Associates.

As a former President, Treasurer and Life Member, Smith made a significant contribution to the club's development and success. The dedication ensured that his commitment to the organisation would be remembered by future generations of members and bowlers.
