Historical information
These photographs, taken by The Advocate newspaper, record the installation of two large Canary Island Palm trees, at the entrance to Errington Reserve, Main Road East, St. Albans.
The trees were supplied by the Melbourne firm Established Trees Transplanters and were originally sourced from central Victoria.
As of 2026, both trees remain alive.
